Welcome to Ore
Furudal is the central village in Ore, which is part of Rättvik municipality. We are about 1100 inhabitants, spread over about 20 smaller villages mainly located around Oresjön.
Ore covers the entire northern part of the municipality, with wild nature, lakes and rivers and a large number of historical farms, some has still animals there in the summer. The region has a long history, which can be explored in the museum village Gammelstan, but also in the whole surrounding area. Scattered throughout the region are smaller towns such as Dalfors or Håven. Many other sights in the Siljans region are only a day trip away.
